I've had a blog before and it had many different outfits (much like my own closet). First it was dedicated to my hand-lettering craft: displaying creations, providing inspiration for them and shamelessly promoting my Etsy page. Then it evolved to include more personal anecdotes. You know, because marketing these days is all about a narrative and providing an experience through the screen. Then it transformed away from the creations to just the personal anecdotes, a lifestyle blog if you will. Then I started my master's program while working full-time and I didn't have time to keep up with a blog at the same time, so it expired and I just didn't care.

Here I am with yet another rendition of a blog. To everyone who is always a loyal reader, thank you for bearing with me through all the changes. If you’ve had the chance to witness one of my Instagram stories, you might have noticed that I love sharing and communicating with others (hence why I’m a professional communicator…and always on Instagram). People often ask where I got my sweater, or where I found my earrings, how I make my hair wavy, how to find motivation to run or what recipe I made, and so on. I love being able to share my own finds and ideas with others. Instead of making you sift through 32 weeks of my Instagram highlights, I figured I could park the information in a long-form post here. But don’t fret, I won’t make you read through 500 words of prose before I get to the actual point you came looking for. These blogs (well, after this one) will be a quick who-what-when-where and then if you’ve got the time you can go through my prose. There’s so much content and so little time, I won’t waste yours.

My mission is to present relatable content and get to the point.

I'm not here to be an influencer (not even a micro-influencer). I'm not here to sell you sponsored items, but I will share the inside details of the items I love. Really. This is a place for you to be able to ask questions or find something you are interested in. Though the internet is saturated with lifestyle blogs, this one will be unique in it’s design and execution. Like I mentioned, my mission is to present relatable content and get to the point. One thing that is often frustrating about influencers and blogs is finding out the socks you like are $429 (I'm not bitter). Or maybe you see a great post on Instagram but then have to sift through an entire website just to find the link to the item you love is sold out. That won’t be the case here.

This blog is, yes another, lifestyle blog. My previous blogs never worked because I tried to segregate different parts of my life into different social platforms. That's not how I operate. Some influencers are really good at just being one thing: a fashion blog, a fitness Instagram, a foodie. I can't do that. I'm too tempted to dabble in it all. I identify more as a "Janney of all trades."

Being this way, I'm bringing all my stuff to one place. This blog will have all aspects of my lifestyle: running, creating, working, failing, eating, shopping, succeeding and everything in between. Whether you're looking to find out where I found my leggings with pockets, what workout I did last week, how I managed to make a salad that actually tasted good or how I bounced back from lung surgery, it'll be here. Thanks for being here, too.
